“Don't Get Addicted to Drugs and Become Detached from Life! (2023-2-TR01-KA153-YOU-000168035)” has contributed to the creation of a more conscious, supportive, and proactive society. By empowering youth workers with knowledge and practical tools, the project has strengthened community-based approaches to preventing addiction and supporting those in need.
The project “Don't Get Addicted to Drugs and Become Detached from Life!” has been successfully completed, bringing together youth workers from seven different countries to raise awareness about one of today’s most pressing social issues — drug addiction.
A total of 42 youth workers from Spain, Latvia, Italy, Bulgaria, Türkiye, Georgia, and Romania participated in this initiative. The project took place in Antalya, Türkiye, between 22–29 October 2024. By bringing together participants from diverse cultural backgrounds, it created a multicultural and inclusive learning environment, where gender balance and equal participation were carefully prioritized.
Building Cooperation and Collective Awareness
The project highlighted that combating addiction requires collective action, not just individual effort. By fostering cooperation between civil society organizations, youth workers, and volunteers, the initiative promoted solidarity and encouraged active engagement within local communities.
Participants were motivated to share the knowledge and experience they gained with the young people they work with, helping to spread awareness and support networks across Europe.
