As Centrul Pentru Tineret Mileniu, we had the chance to participate in the project "Television and Child Culture" (KA152-YOU-000093126), which took place in Modena, Italy, from March 1st to March 7th, 2023. We would to express our happiness to have collaborated with partners from Italy, Türkiye, Poland, Lithuania, and Hungary in addressing the critical issue of the negative effects of television on children's development.

Throughout the project, our team from Romania, which included 8 Romanian participants, explored the multifaceted challenges and complexities surrounding children's exposure to mass media, particularly television. Guided by the project's objectives, we engaged in thought-provoking discussions and practical activities aimed at understanding and reducing the harmful impacts of excessive screen time on young minds. As we shared our insights and observations, we gained invaluable insights into the diverse cultural, social, and educational contexts shaping children's media consumption habits across Europe.
Through collaborative brainstorming sessions and hands-on exercises, our Romanian participants explored various approaches to promoting media literacy and responsible screen usage among children and adolescents.
The project also provided a platform for fostering empathy and understanding among participants from different backgrounds. As we navigated through challenging topics and sensitive issues, we formed meaningful connections and friendships that transcended language barriers.
As we reflect on our participation in the "Television and Child Culture" project, we are inspired by the collective commitment to nurturing healthy, informed, and empowered young minds. We extend our sincere gratitude to our partners for their vision, support, and dedication throughout the project.
