We are excited to share the outcomes of our collaborative youth exchange 2022-3-IT03-KA152-YOU-000094205 project titled "Interface of Social Media: E-Diseases." Serving as the Italian host organization, our project brought together enthusiastic participants from seven partner countries including Italy, Latvia, Hungary, Turkey, Portugal, Germany, and Czech Republic. The project took place in the beautiful city of Reggio Calabria, Italy, spanning from May 19th to May 25th, 2023, and engaged a total of 8 participants from our organization.

At the core of our project was the exploration of the dangers posed by social media, which we often refer to as "E-Diseases." Through various interactive sessions and discussions, participants delved into the negative impacts of excessive social media use on mental health, interpersonal relationships, and overall well-being. Our objective was to raise awareness among young individuals about the potential risks associated with online platforms and to empower them with the necessary skills to navigate the digital world safely.

Throughout the project, participants actively engaged in activities designed to foster critical thinking, digital literacy, and responsible online behavior. They learned about strategies to identify and mitigate the harmful effects of social media, such as cyberbullying, online harassment, and addiction. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to share their own experiences and perspectives on the role of social media in their lives, facilitating meaningful discussions and insights.

The cross-cultural exchange among participants from diverse backgrounds enriched the learning experience, providing valuable insights into the different ways social media influences societies across Europe. By exchanging ideas, sharing best practices, and collaborating on solutions, participants developed a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding social media use and its impact on individual and collective well-being.

As the project concluded, participants left with a heightened awareness of the risks associated with social media and a renewed commitment to promoting positive digital habits in their communities. "Interface of Social Media: E-Diseases" served as a platform for dialogue, learning, and collaboration, empowering young individuals to navigate the digital landscape responsibly and advocate for a healthier online environment.
