Rising Above: Our Reflections on Substance Abuse Awareness in Budapest

In the heart of Budapest, Hungary, from September 5th to September 9th, 2023, our team of 13 Romanian participants embarked on a transformative journey as part of the "Up with Hope, Down with Dope" project (2023-1-HU01-KA152-YOU-000120035). This project focused on combating substance abuse, bringing together individuals from various countries to raise awareness and foster meaningful change.

Throughout the project, our Romanian team actively engaged in a series of discussions and interactive sessions aimed at understanding the complexities of substance abuse and its impact on individuals.

The project activities kept open dialogue and collaboration among participants, creating an environemtn of unity and shared purpose. Through group activities and team-building exercises, our team created meaningful connections with other participant groups and gained a deeper understanding of the role we can play in addressing substance abuse within our own communities.

Our Romanian team left Budapest with determination and a commitment to continue the fight against substance abuse. With the gained knowledge, empathy, and a shared sense of purpose, we are ready to continue our efforts and work towards a future free from the grips of addiction.
